Ex-Inter Milan president Moratti: Mancini also quit on me!

Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti it feels Roberto Mancini grew bored with the Italy job.

Mancini was named Saudi Arabia coach on the weekend just days after quitting as Italy manager.

Moratti hired Mancini at Inter and told Il Fatto Quotidiano, "When a professional finds himself on the plate it's natural that he accepted an offer of that kind. Perhaps he was beginning to get bored and perhaps he thought that there was no future with the national team. Money has swept away the last doubts."

Moratti adds: "He should have expected a strong reaction because in Italy the national team unifies the country, especially when it wins. He did a similar thing to me in 2008: he resigned. It took me by surprise because I had never thought of sending him away. He's full of talent and therefore unpredictable."
