Former Inter Milan director Ernesto Paolillo says Alessandro del Piero's return to Juventus would help the crisis club.
Talks are underway for Del Piero to be appointed to a front office role at Juve.
Paolillo told TMW: "Flags are always useful for clubs and therefore it is undoubtedly acceptable, also for the image of the player himself.
"Juventus must change, as is appropriate in these cases, everyone and everything to change their image and turn the page, this is evident, but it doesn't mean that one automatically blames what came before.
"It's simply because it's necessary to do it, we need to make a change."
On Juve's problems, he continued: "The damage to the image is really strong, but not so much for this case, rather because it becomes the umpteenth: Parma, then other clubs in the past, other scandals of another kind... A shadow on the administrative structure of the Italian teams is properly out, crisp and clear. So that's a big deal."
