Ex-Fulham striker Pogrebnyak happy with life at Reading

Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak insists he does not regret his decision to not sign with Fulham.

The Russian was on loan with the Cottagers from Stuttgart last season and could have joined permanently but opted to join the Royals in the summer.

Ahead of tomorrow's home meeting with Fulham, Pogrebnyak does not feel any added pressure as he only spent a few months in Southwest London.

"I don't regret anything as the best players left Fulham. It's still a question [of] how they will handle the case," Pogrebnyak told Sport-Express.

"I wouldn't say it will be a special game.

"I didn't play for three years at Fulham, only about four months. But I follow the matches of my previous clubs. Sometimes I imagine myself in their [Fulham] squad.

"I have never made a secret of it that I liked playing under Martin Jol's management. I hope fortune will favour [us] against Fulham."
