Former Manchester United and Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been branded a "scam".

Schneiderlin left Everton for Nice at the end of last season for a cut-price deal.

Popular French pundit Pierre Menes said on Canal+: "And then there is the Schneiderlin file.

"The former Southampton player has all the contours of a scam. This player loses too many balls - it is due to him who loses it on the third goal of Bayer (Leverkusen in the Europa League) - and never makes a gain of five metres for the team.

"Honestly, I am very skeptical about his long-term performance…"

Bayer thrashed Nice 6-2 on Thursday night.
