Former Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is delighted with his move to Nice.
The Frenchman signed for OGCN last month and was presented to local media yesterday.
Schneiderlin declared to Nice-Matin: "French clubs have been trying to get me back for a few years. But it did not excite me more than that to return to France. The English mentality, the way of conceiving football, I loved that. The Premier League is the best.
"At the start of the year, my agent told me about contacts with Nice and told me to think things over. I let it ripen in my head, there was the coronavirus crisis, etc. At some point, I was ready to listen.
"The contact I had with Julien Fournier and the coach was excellent. They seduced me. I had followed the history of the revival. It was the best project if we returned to France. With Nice, I knew exactly where I was going. At 30, it was essential. I needed a structured club like OGC Nice."
