Ex-Everton loanee Donovan laughs off suggestions of Man Utd spell

Landon Donovan does not believes David Moyes will want him on a loan spell at Manchester United.

The Everton boss has been appointed as the successor to the retiring Sir Alex Ferguson but LA Galaxy's Donovan, who has had two loan spells under Moyes on Merseyside, does not believe he will be required at Old Trafford.

"Well ... I'm pretty sure that they prefer players that can make penalty kicks," said Donovan, who missed a penalty in his side's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo earlier this week.

"So perhaps if I can get that back under my belt, I'll have a chance."
