James McFadden is reportedly close to joining Celtic according to the Daily Record.
The former Motherwell and Everton man has been without a club since his contract with Birmingham City expired in the summer and it is understood that his representatives have held talks with Hoops officials about a lucrative deal.
28-year old McFadden has received offers from Wolves (where he has been training), Everton and West Ham United but it is believed that he is happy with the way negotiations with Celtic have panned out and reports suggest a deal will soon be finalised.
