Former England coach Graham Taylor praised Chelsea skipper John Terry for taking on all questions over the state of their season this week.
He said in his column for the Daily Express: "Ancelotti was also at that press conference but Terry was asked most questions and shouldered the responsibility.
"If he had admitted domestically their season is over and they have only a slim chance of becoming European Champions, he might have got a grade A for honesty. But that's all. The real talking is done on the pitch.
"Fernando Torres looked happier with Nicolas Anelka alongside him as Chelsea played an old-fashioned 4-4-2, with central midfielders Frank Lampard and Michael Essien showing that when one goes forward the other stays back."
