Former DC United striker Luciano Emilio wants the club to trade his rights so he can continue playing MLS. The 31-year old recently played with Brazilian club Rio Branco in MLS' off-season after rejecting a new deal with DCU but now he is beginning to become frustrated that the Washington club are not allowing him to join another club.
"I am very frustrated with this situation," he told the Washington Post Insider. "I am not happy they are keeping me from working."
DCU general manager Dave Kasper said he has asked the Brazilian to remain patient as the club is trying to get the best deal with the several rival clubs interested in his services.
"We told him through his agent to be patient," Kasper said. "We understand he wants to play in MLS, but there is more than one team interested.
"Luciano has shown to be a goal scorer in MLS; he's a valuable player," Kasper added.
"We obviously want Luci to be happy, but we want to do what is best for D.C. United."
