Ex-Crystal Palace defender Gabbidon among trio to leave Cardiff

Cardiff City are set to offload a trio of experienced players this summer.

It is believed that the Bluebirds will allow Kevin McNaughton, their longest-serving player, to walk out the exit door after making almost 300 appearances for the Welsh club.

McNaughton has been with Cardiff since 2006 but spent most of the recent campaign on loan at Bolton.

Also on the Cardiff chopping block is veteran defender Danny Gabbidon who returned to the Cardiff City Stadium for a second stint at the beginning of the campaign following his initial spell between 2000 and 2005.

Gabbidon, who was in a player/coach role, will be joined by striker Nicky Maynard on the departures list after struggling with injuries following his move from West Ham United in 2012.
