Former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is being linked with a move to the US.
Pardew is in contention to become the new manager of Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati.
The 57-year-old has been out of work since he was axed by West Brom last summer after eight straight league defeats.
ESPN reports Pardew is a "serious candidate" to take over at the West End Stadium.
The source claims that United States Under-20 boss Tab Ramos and Aitor Karanka are also in the running.
Robert Maaskant was interviewed for the job last week, but has since opted to join VVV-Venlo in the Eredivisie.
