English League One club Stevenage have secured the services of defender Andy Iro.
The towering 27-year old centre-half returns to England after spending the last four years in North America with MLS clubs Columbus Crew and Toronto FC.
Iro initially left the UK to attend University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004 where he spent about three years with the Gauchos before being signed by Columbus in 2008.
He made close to 60 MLS appearances for the Crew before he was traded to Toronto in July last year but he decided not to sign a contract extension with the Canadian outfit, departing at the start of the 2012 season.
Iro, who won the 2008 MLS Cup and 2008, 2009 Supporter's Shields with Columbus, joins Stevenage as a free agent and could make his debut against Bury this weekend.
