Former Chicago Fire player Chris Woolard is one of three defenders on trial with DC United.

The 25-year old was with the Fire from 2007 until last season when he was released but is now trying his luck with DC as they prepare to take on Santos Laguna in a pre-season friendly in Mexico.

Woolard joins Bolivian veteran Juan Manuel Pena and Jamaica international Jermaine Taylor as defenders attempting to gain a spot on DC's roster for 2010.
