Former Chelsea winger Damien Duff has signed for Shamrock Rovers.
Duff, 35, has agreed an 18-month deal which will take him up to the end of the 2016 season.
The 100-cap former Irish winger joins Keith Fahey and Stephen McPhail in a star-studded midfield.
"I'm as excited about this move as I've been about any in my career, be that Newcastle, Chelsea, or any other," said the Dubliner.
"I left Ireland 20 years ago to make a career as a footballer so now it's great to be back. I'm definitely not just here to see out my time as a player. I intend to make a positive contribution to Shamrock Rovers and to the league."
