Former Chelsea goalkeeper Dave Beasant was impressed by their summer market work.
He reckons the additions of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will see the west Londoners finish top of the pile.
"The two singings they brought in [Costa and Fabregas] I think was the best money spent in the transfer window," Beasant told the Daily Star.
"And Courtois coming in goal, ahead of Petr Cech, means he's got to perform every week.
"I think it was the time to bring him back [Courtois]. He's just won the Champions League so he's played at the highest level."
