Former Manchester United midfielder Ray Wilkins says Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli's behaviour against Tottenham was indefensible.
Balotelli faces a four-match ban for his alleged kick at floored Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker.
"They can't appeal the ban purely and simply because of what happened to [Vincent] Kompany. They actually contested Kompany's double footed challenge and he got a four game ban.
"I don't think they can afford to do it, it was a reckless act from Balotelli and they must get on with the situation. You can't afford to have these guys out for one game longer than necessary." "Balotelli seems to lose it a touch and what happened with Parker you can't really defend," ex-Chelsea coach Wilkins told talkSPORT. "It was the most atrocious act and had he caught Scott it could have been really nasty.
