Former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink is on a good wicket at Anzhi.
But he could've earned even more if he'd accepted an offer from China, the Dutchman has revealed
Hiddink said: "When I got my deal with Anzhi, the Chinese came to me and wanted to put another staggering amount on top of it in the hope I would move to China. I am talking about £15million net!
"I thought that was an absurd amount.''
Hiddink is already among the elite of world managers in terms of salary.
He earns £175,000 a week with Anzhi. That equates to £9m-a-year after tax. His gross wages are estimated at £300,000 a week.
Hiddink added: "I don't want to say too much about it. But, believe me, the tax man loves me!
"It was a club in Guangzhou, a town with 12m people next to Hong Kong. A club with a massive company, Evergrande, behind them.
"They were pushing hard for me to sign and wanted me there for five years.
"I said to them, 'Show me your football plans, not the contract - I don't want to have a label of being a money grabber'.''
