Ex-Chelsea boss Ancelotti makes personal call to LA Galaxy's Beckham regarding PSG

New Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has made a personal call to David Beckham regarding a potential move to the French giants.

Beckham is out of contract with LA Galaxy and it was previously reported that he would depart MLS for France's Ligue 1 this winter but it has since emerged that the English veteran may remain in Los Angeles.

Ancelotti was officially unveiled as PSG's new boss on Friday and it was revealed that the former Chelsea manager had made contact with Beckham in a bid to try and lure him to Parc des Princes.

However, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace is leaning towards a Galaxy stay as he does not want to move his family on now they have settled in the States.

PSG sporting director Leonardo, who knows Beckham from his loan spell at AC Milan, admitted that the 36-year old could very well stay out for a sixth season in North America.

"The question has never been professional but about his family. It is a difficult choice to make to move his family to Paris," Leonardo said.

"We are going to wait a bit. It is a personal choice and it is not easy for him. We have time and him too. We won't push him - we respect him a lot. I know him. I have an incredible admiration for him as a player and a father too. I understand that it is difficult to move."
