Former England star Ashley Cole was the subject of an attack at his home.

Cole was reportedly attacked by a gang of masked robbers, per The Sun.

His mansion was the target, and a lot of jewellery was stolen.

The 39-year-old was not in the mood to give up his possessions, and was reportedly tied to a chair during the encounter. The thieves wore masks to hide their identities.

A source said: "It was a terrifying experience.

"The robbers sounded very professional and knew exactly what they were doing.

"They must have deliberately targeted Ashley and cased the place in advance."
