Didier Drogba is set to join Galatasaray after the player and the club agreed personal terms.
The former Chelsea striker will sign an 18-month loan deal from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua once his duties at the African Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast finish.
The agreement has been announced on Gala's official website with the Turkish giants on the verge of adding Drogba to their squad following the massive coup of Wesley Sneijder last week.
Through his management, Sports PR Company, Drogba posted on Twitter: "The opportunity to play for this great club was an offer that I could not turn down. I am looking forward to playing in the Champions League again, against the best clubs in Europe."
