Jean Carlos Solorzano is set to sign a loan deal with Melbourne Victory.

The 23-year old Costa Rican striker enjoyed a brilliant season on loan with A-League champions Brisbane Roar, scoring 11 goals in 13 starts, but is likely to spend his second season with the Victory according to reports.

Victory's crosstown rivals Melbourne Heart had made a play for Solorzano early last week but it appears that he will land in the blue and white after his medical this weekend.

Solorzano will now link up with former LD Alajuelense teammate and fellow countryman Carlos Hernandez in Melbourne.
