Ex-Bolton midfielder Muamba admits he was fearful for Swansea's Gomis

Fabrice Muamba admits he had a horrible feeling rush over him when he found out Bafetimbi Gomis had fainted during the week.

Swansea City striker Gomis collapsed early in his side's 3-2 Premier League loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane -the same venue that Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest in March 2012.

Muamba, 26, spoke out about the incident and says he felt poorly for Gomis who was quick to recover from his episode.

"I was busy trying to concentrate on my uni work, that takes priority nowadays, but I heard about Gomis through social media," Muamba told the Daily Express.

"You are not sure of the full details but you can put two and two together and then it came out that he collapsed when no one was around him and, when I saw that it was White Hart Lane, I thought, 'Oh no, not that place again'.

"I tried to put all that to one side and just carry on with my work but it was very difficult."
