Freddy Adu has made it clear that FK Jagodina have not released him from his contract.
The 25-year old American forward is again without a club after spending the second half of 2014 in Serbia but some sections of the press reported that the former prodigy had been sacked by Jagodina.
However, the ex-DC United, Real Salt Lake, Benfica, Monaco and Philadelphia Union man took to Twitter to deny claims that he had been given the flick, rather that his six-month deal had come to an end.
Easy guys I signed a 6 month contract. And it's done now. I didn't get "released". Knew I was leaving a few months ago. #truth

Thank God for Twitter. There are a lot of false information out there. I signed a 6 MONTH deal and it's done now. Simple as that. #truth
