San Jose Earthquakes have signed veteran German defender Andreas Gorlitz.
The 32-year old right-back has joined the Major League Soccer side after leaving German club FC Ingolstadt late last year.
Gorlitz, who began his career with 1860 Munich in 2002 before moving to Bayern Munich two years later, will bring plenty of experience and leadership to the Quakes roster according to general manager John Doyle.
"Andreas is an excellent right back with a ton of experience," Doyle said in a club statement.
"He's great at getting forward, and we're excited to have him join the club."
Following his arrival at Bayern, Gorlitz spent time on loan with Karlsruhe, before joining Ingolstadt in 2010.
The two-times capped Germany international made over 100 appearances in the German Bundesliga throughout his career in his homeland as well as featuring in the UEFA Champions League with Bayern.
