Adelaide United have signed a pair of former Barcelona youngsters ahead of the 2013/14 A-League season.
New Reds head coach Josep Gombau has leant on his time at Barcelona by luring Isaias Sanchez and Sergio Cirio to South Australia.
26-year old midfielder Sanchez joins from Spanish Segunda division club Ponferradina after a stint with Espanyol, whilst 28-year old attacker Cirio arrives from lower division Spanish side Hospitalet.
"I know the league is growing every year with new top players like Alessandro Del Piero so it is a good place to be," said Cirio.
"Because I know Adelaide United is one of the top clubs in the country, and I come here to help the club to win the league. The new project led by Coach Josep Gombau based on the FC Barcelona philosophy fits very much with my football style learnt in FC Barcelona Academy where I spent almost 10 years."
