Former Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has recalled first seeing Lionel Messi in training.
Rijkaard was quick to include the then teenage Messi in his first team squad.
"From the moment he was introduced, we realized he was a unique player. I remember Deco and Ronaldinho quickly recognized his talent and gave him love. I had this same mentality. He wanted to enter the field and play football. It did not matter the opponent.
"He is a born footballer. Messi is a one off."
