Former Barcelona captain Sergi Busquets is excited joining Inter Miami.

The midfielder spoke at their Leagues Cup media conference on Thursday and admits the presence of Leo Messi was a key influence.

"I'm very happy to be back together with Leo and enjoy him as a teammate again," he said. "We've been together for many years at Barca and everything was beautiful.

"It's true that (Messi) coming here was a catalyst for me making the decision to come."

Busquets hopes to make his debut against Cruz Azul on Friday.
