Justin Hoyte has indicated that Middlesbrough are capable of gaining promotion to the Premier League.
The Teessiders sit second behind Crystal Palace on the Championship table after 16 matches and the former Arsenal defender is of the belief that Tony Mowbray's men can continue on with that rich vein of form.
"I think we're much better set up," he told the club's official website.
"Last season we faded away but I feel this season we are pushing more and there is a desire and determination to prove exactly how we good we are.
"It has been a surprise how everything has blended so quickly after a lot of changes. It seems like we are a good squad this season.
"We're bonding well and whoever plays gives everything to get the result we need. Everyone gives their best."
