Alberto Gilardino is a reported target for the Montreal Impact according to reports.
The 32-year old Italian striker is currently contracted to Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Evergrande but Gazzetta dello Sport suggests he could be on his way to MLS ahead of the 2015 season.
The Impact, who finished on the bottom of the MLS standings in 2014, recently signed Gilardino's former Fiorentina teammate Marco Donadel and it is believed that the pair could reunite at Saputo Stadium.
It has been reported that the Impact have not yet made an offer for the ex-Parma, AC Milan and Genoa attacker but it is believed they will go after his services during the off-season in a bid to replace the recently-retired Marco Di Vaio who scored over 30 goals in two-and-a-half seasons for the Impact.
