Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi hailed the performance of Olivier Giroud last night.
The veteran helped Milan to last night's 0-0 draw at Tottenham, which saw them progress to the Champions League quarterfinals 1-0 on aggregate.
Afterwards, Sacchi said of Giroud: "He is someone who never backs down, who works for the team, who conceives football as a collective game and not I always say: one times one equals one, one times eleven equals eleven.
'So the important thing is to behave 'as a team' and be led by that invisible thread which is the game.
"If it manages to improve further, to be even more compact, pressing more, I think this Milan can give us satisfaction in the Champions League as well."
