Evra admits Man Utd were poor in Wigan win

Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra admits they weren't impressive in victory over nine-man Wigan Athletic.

Evra emerged as a shock scorer against Wigan as he found the net for the first time in two-and-a-half years.

Sub Javier Hernandez sealed a routine 2-0 victory after Roberto Martinez's side were reduced to NINE men, with Antolin Alcaraz and Hugo Rodallega seeing red.

Evra said: "My last goal was against Roma in the Champions League, my last in the league was against Everton. I know I should score more goals. I felt angry when I scored because I know it should not have taken me this long. I should have had a second as well so I was annoyed with myself.

"I was very frustrated to finish last season and the season before that without getting a goal.

"My goal here came at just the right time because we had not played well in that first half.

"We could have gone on to get more but even when they played with nine men it was difficult to score another.

"In a way, I am very frustrated with the performance."

He added: "When you want to win the league you have to win even when you are not playing well but we know we can play better. The most important thing is to win though. The best is definitely still to come from United.

"If we were playing like the real Manchester United we'd be top of the league with a five-point lead."
