Kieran Dowell has signed a new three-year contract wth Everton.
The 18-year-old midfielder has put pen to a brand new deal at Goodison Park and is absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity by a club he has been at since he was seven years old.
"It's a huge day for me and I'm delighted," Dowell told Everton TV.
"I found out it might happen at the end of the season, then I've come back from a holiday and it was all ready to be sorted.
"You could say it's just the beginning. All the work you put in during your time with the Academy is towards getting your first professional contract, but this really makes me feel like part of the team.
"At moments like this, whether it's signing a contract or making your first appearances for the club, you look back and wonder if you'd be here without your family, friends and especially the staff here. I can't thank them enough for everything they've all done for me so far."
Dowell made his Toffees debut in a Europa League clash with Krasnodar in December 2014 but missed the first half of last season with an ankle injury before making his Premier League debut against Bournemouth in April this year.
Delighted to sign a new contract with this great club ! Can't wait to see what the next few years has in store https://t.co/15PJQwDTDV
