Everton winger Demarai Gray believes they can take positives from their defeat to Tottenham at the weekend.
The Toffees put in a terrific shift against Antonio Conte's side, but were beaten 2-0 on Saturday night nonetheless.
Despite that Premier League loss, 26-year-old Gray spoke about the positive aspects of their performance.
"I have the opportunity in the first half to put that in and maybe it changes the game," said Gray to Viaplay post-game.
"I think coming to Spurs away is always going to be difficult, but I think we made it difficult for them. The penalty was a bit unfortunate. There's a lot of positives to take from the game, but it's still disappointing.
"There's a lot of positives to take, still a lot to work on and I think it starts on the training pitch. We weren't great against United on the ball, but we showed character and that's been big for us this season. The positive thing for us is that we have another game on Wednesday and that's a good opportunity to try and get some points on the board."
