Everton will not be paying over the odds to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon on a permanent deal.
Lennon has been in magnificent form since his loan move to Everton in January and it is widely believed that the Toffees will be looking to turn the temporary agreement a permanent one at the end of the current campaign.
However, the proposed move for Lennon will not be as straightforward as it seems, as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator and has reportedly slapped an asking price of around £9million on the winger.
The price tag has reportedly put Everton off and it has been claimed that if Spurs do not lower their demands, manager Roberto Martinez will focus on targets elsewhere.
