Everton want LA Galaxy's Donovan on permanent deal

English Premier League club Everton are hoping they can sign LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan on a permanent deal. The USA international is currently on loan with the Toffees but manager David Moyes wants to tempt the Galaxy with a $4.7million bid.

Donovan has impressed in his few outings for Everton since joining on loan in early January and is believed to be favouring a stay in England after his stint ends in late March.

"Landon has done brilliantly since coming over here and he's really enjoying himself," said a source close to the player.

"There is a big chance he will stay here permanently but it would have to be sorted after the World Cup.

"He's clearly fitted in well and the manager has been impressed with him so let's see."
