Everton fullback Tony Hibbert has accepted his understudy role.
Hibbert has featured in the Toffees last four games with Seamus Coleman out with a hamstring strain, but his playing time at Goodison Park has been cut dramatically in the last 12 months.
He said: "I'm a footballer I want to be playing week in week out. I understand it's a squad game though and there are players who deserve to play.
"Seamus is our number one right-back and he deserves it. It's just one of them that you enjoy the way the club is going forward and hopefully feature every now and then when you can."
