Everton defender Sylvain Distin fancies following the example of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs and playing into his 40s.
Distin, now 36, is playing some of the best football of his career.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "I don't think we are similar players, of course. We play different positions and his strengths and completely different to mine.
"I'm a lot more athletic than he is, but he is more of a ball player and a passer.
"But he's definitely an inspiration. If he can make it and play football until he is 40, then why not me?"
