Everton, Spurs eyeing Bayern Munich's Van Buyten

A number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten, according to the player's agent.

The Belgian international has struggled to hold down a regular place in Bayern's starting XI this season, and has been linked with a move to Celtic.

. However, van Buyten's agent Christophe Henrotay has claimed that Tottenham, Everton, Fulham, Sunderland and Wigan are also keen on the 29-year-old - who had a loan spell with Manchester City in 2004.

"Every English club outside the big four that needs a central defender has shown an interest in Daniel," Henrotay said in the Daily Star.

"Sunderland, Everton, Wigan, Tottenham and Fulham have all contacted me about him."

Van Buyten added: "I am unhappy with my current situation."
