Everton are believed to be showing considerable interest in Salomon Kalou.
The Ivory Coast striker, who left Chelsea for Lille in 2012, has already been a target for a number of Premier League clubs.
But it is believed that the Toffees are pondering a summer move for the 28-year old as they get set to lose loan forwards Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu.
"Obviously we're not sure about keeping the likes of Lukaku and Deulofeu beyond this season, so Roberto is keen to make permanent signings in that area," an Everton insider told footballdirectnews.
"Kalou is a player the club have looked at. A few other Premier League teams were in for him in January and there's a suggestion he might be available for the right price in the summer."
