Everton set to beat Arsenal for Basle defender Dragovic

Everton are moving to trump Arsenal for FC Basle defender Aleksander Dragovic.

The Daily Express says Arsenal are thought to be in the market for a central defender this summer, and have been linked with Basel's 22-year-old stopper Dragovic.

However, Everton manager David Moyes is looking to reshape his defence ahead of next season with captain Phil Neville retiring, and the Toffees are confident of stealing a deal for the Austrian.

Like Kevin Miralles when he left Olympiacos, Dragovic is willing to ignore interest from the Emirates to join the Merseyside club.
