Everton's Cahill wants ex-Leeds man Beckford to net 10

Everton star Tim Cahill says it would be a great achievement if Jermaine Beckford could reach the 10-goal milestone this season. The 27-year old started slowly in his debut Premier League season with the Toffees but has now scored nine goals in all competitions to sit equal with Cahill and one behind Louis Saha.

But Cahill feels it would do the club and the player more good if Beckford was to bury a milestone 10th goal when the Toffees host second-placed Chelsea at Goodison Park.

"Beckford is on nine goals and that is fantastic. Hopefully he can get his 10th at the weekend and end up as the top goalscorer as that would be really good for him. It would be an achievement in his first season," Cahill told evertontv.

The Toffees currently sit seventh on the league table but cannot move any higher, however, a loss to Chelsea and eighth-placed Fulham beating Arsenal would see them fall down one rung after a very tardy beginning to the campaign.
