Everton's Cahill calls for team spirit to come out at Chelsea

Everton star Tim Cahill has urged his teammates to bring out all their team spirit when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend. The attacking midfielder is well aware that last weekend's 4-1 home loss to West Bromwich Albion was not up to the standards the Merseysiders have set in the past and wants a complete change in mindset and quality of play when they take on a Blues side who have not won in their past three in the league.

"The West Brom game wasn't good enough from all of us," Cahill told the Liverpool Daily Post.

"I can only apologise to all of the fans.

"There are no excuses for the performance and we need now to react in the right manner. We need to make sure we do ourselves justice and we have a massive game against Chelsea.

"We have a great squad and we know we are capable of getting more positive results, so overall the responsibility lies with us players.

"We need to demand more from each other and now that the times are tough, we need to stick together.

"We all need to stay positive and it is important that you keep supporting us because we will turn the corner."
