Everton are planning a surprise move for Manchester City midfielder James Milner.
The Mirror says Milner, 28, has a year left on his £75,000-a-week contract at City.
He has only made 11 Premier League starts this term under Manuel Pellegrini, who has used him as sub 18 times.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is now hoping he can persuade Milner to follow Gareth Barry and has started discreet enquiries.
Tottenham are also monitoring Milner but the Leeds-born ace is settled in the north west.
