Reading striker Shane Long has three major suitors.

The Sun says Long is at the centre of a tug of war between Everton, Newcastle United and Celtic.

And his chairman John Madejski is resigned to losing him after the Royals missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

He said: "How confident am I of keeping Shane? Not very.

"It is sad we didn't get promoted because Shane would have liked to have stayed if we had reached the Premier League."
