Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has spoken about the future of manager Frank Lampard.

With the Toffees enduring a poor run of results just before the winter break for the World Cup, Lampard's future came into question.

However, Iwobi believes the club should stick by the ex-Chelsea boss, as he has got the team playing in the right way.

"Of course," he told Sky Sports about supporters' frustrations.

"The club is very ambitious and we want to achieve something. That's what we want to do - we owe it to them and to ourselves.

Iwobi added: "I say stick by him [Lampard] because, not just me, the players do appreciate what he is doing and what he is doing for the club.

“He is a hard-working man, who is putting his job first - maybe before his family! He does work very hard and is an understanding man, so stick by him."
