Everton have made a move for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.
The Daily Express says the 28-year-old is believed to be surplus to requirements at the Italian club, with Inter considering offloading the Uruguayan midfielder in order to free up wages to fund other deals.
According to European transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Everton's first enquiry was rebuffed by Inter three weeks ago.
However, Pedulla insists “the Toffees are back" in for Vecino and are currently in discussions with Inter over a deal this month.
Everton aren't the only team interested in Vecino, who has scored two goals and provided one assist in 17 appearances for Inter this season.
Manchester United are also keen on the midfielder, who they see as ideal short-term cover for the injured Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.
