Two Merseyside clubs are set to battle for out-of-favor Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The England international, a former Leeds United player, has struggled at City for the past 18 months.
Phillips, who joined at the start of last season, has only played seven times in all competitions this term.
According to talkSPORT, both Everton and Liverpool want to sign him this winter.
The Reds want to get him in as a rotation option, while Everton would likely play him every game.
Phillips would then have to decide which move is the best one for his career.
