Everton are being linked with off contract striker Giorgios Samaras.
Scottish media sources say Celtic face competition from Lazio, Sevilla, Hamburg and Everton if they want to re-sign Greece forward Samaras.
Samaras was at Celtic for six-and-a-half years but failed to reach an agreement on a new contract before heading to the World Cup.
The 29-year-old said an emotional farewell at Celtic Park on the final day of last season but last week his advisor Gregory Ioannidis took to Twitter to state: "It is not too late for Celtic to do the deal."
