Everton to leave England for Down Under tour this week

Everton will depart England on Thursday for the 2010 Down Under tour which takes place in July. The Toffees will take on Sydney FC, Melbourne Heart and the Brisbane Roar in a series of three pre-season friendlies and will bring a very strong squad with them.

Phil Neville, Mikel Arteta, Phil Jagielka, Louis Saha and Leon Osman are among the names that manager David Moyes will bring out whilst Australian star Tim Cahill will also be in town following his World Cup commitments with the Socceroos.

Cahill is expected to play the first two matches but fellow World Cup combatants Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Joseph Yobo (both Nigeria), Steven Pienaar (South Africa), Tim Howard (USA) and Jan Mucha (Slovakia) along with Johnny Heitinga who is still competing in the tournament with Holland, will not make the trip down under.
