Everton have launched a huge bid for Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy.
The Daily Star says Everton are hoping to close in on Wigan's McCarthy after launching a final £13.5m bid for the midfielder last night.
Everton have already had a bid of £12m rejected for the former Hamilton Academical midfielder.
